These Terms of Use govern your use of Dish Detective, provided by Mohammad Joynul Abedin ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the app, you agree to these terms.
Using Dish Detective
You may use Dish Detective for your personal, lawful nutrition-tracking purposes. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account. You must provide information that is accurate enough for the app to work as intended.
Health and nutrition disclaimer
Dish Detective, meal-photo estimates, diary summaries, and NutrAI are for general information only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for a qualified health professional. Nutrition estimates may be incomplete or inaccurate.
Talk with a doctor, dietitian, or other qualified professional before changing your diet, activity, medication, or treatment. Do not use the app to set unsafe calorie targets. In particular, do not follow a calorie intake below the minimum recommended for you by a qualified professional. Seek urgent medical help for an emergency; do not rely on the app or NutrAI.
NutrAI and AI output
NutrAI uses automated AI systems. Its answers can be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable for your situation, or unavailable. Check important information with reliable sources or a qualified professional before acting on it. Do not submit unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, or highly sensitive information to NutrAI.
Acceptable use
You must not misuse the app. For example, do not:
- break the law or violate another person's rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
- interfere with the app's security, availability, or operation;
- upload content that is harmful, abusive, deceptive, or infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights; or
- use the app to develop, benchmark, or operate a competing service without our written permission.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit, such as meal photos and chat messages. You give us permission to host, process, and use that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide Dish Detective and its AI features, consistent with our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the rights needed to submit the content.
Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, or end features when reasonably necessary to operate, improve, protect, or comply with obligations relating to the app. You may stop using the app at any time and may delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, create risk for the app or others, or use the app unlawfully.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dish Detective is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that it will always be available, secure, error-free, or that any nutrition estimate or AI answer will be accurate. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on the app's content.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Mohammad Joynul Abedin will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. These terms do not limit consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to limit.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the updated version in the app and change the effective date. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the updated terms to the extent permitted by law.
